The impact you'll have:
Reporting to the Manager, Compensation, the Analyst, Compensation will act as a subject matter expert providing advice and support to Softchoice HR Business Partners and/or managers for all matters related to compensation practices and policies. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of being in the office a few times each month.
What you'll do:
- Provide compensation support and expertise to internal clients, including HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and Softchoice people leaders.
- Assist with the training, communication, and implementation of compensation programs and processes.
- Administer the annual corporate bonus and merit programs.
- Update and maintain our corporate and sales salary structures.
- Manage salary surveys as well as ad-hoc market surveys, and assist with annual compensation market analysis for both Canada and the US.
- Create, update, and maintain reports for compensation-related analytics.
- Assist in providing timely, accurate accruals and forecasts to the Finance department for financial reporting purposes.
- Support the job evaluation function within the organization, including market matching and job code creation.
- Review and assist in the development of compensation guidelines and policies.
- Assist with pay equity and employment equity program administration and reporting.
- Assist as required with ad-hoc reporting and special company integration projects.
What you'll bring to the table:
- Degree or diploma in HR Management or a related discipline
- Accreditation as a Certified Compensation Professional, or working towards designation, is an asset
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in Compensation program administration
- Experience administering compensation programs in both Canada and the US is an asset; bonus if you have experience in administering global compensation
- Proven strength in data analysis with ability to identify and solve problems, and a high degree of comfort in navigating large reports
- Strong computer skills: expert user of MS Excel, proficient with Word and PowerPoint, experience with HRIS applications such as SuccessFactors or Vantage
- Experience navigating salary surveys and survey data, such as Radford or Mercer
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to excel in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Ability to be flexible and able to deal with ambiguity in a growing and evolving organization.

- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Ability to work under stress, prioritize, meet tight deadlines, and handling multiple tasks

Compensation:
A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position in Toronto is $62,400 to $78,000 annually.
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, education, and related certification. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
