The impact you’ll have
As a VMware Services Specialist, you will be the primary point of engagement for customer enablement and pre-sales adoption activities for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and the evolving VMware portfolio.
Your mission is to grow the VCF services pipeline, drive customer enablement, and act as a strategic liaison between Broadcom Account Directors, Softchoice Field Sellers and our technical teams. You will shape customer outcomes, accelerate VMware solution adoption, and drive long-term customer value across hybrid cloud environments.
What you’ll do
Business Growth
- Drive adoption of VMware Cloud Foundation and Softchoice services throughout the existing customer base.
- Create and progress new services opportunities in partnership with Softchoice field and technical teams and Broadcom Account Directors
- Manage and report on pipeline growth to Sr Leadership.
Sales Engagement
- Enable Softchoice sellers on VMware value propositions, with a focus on VCF, modernization pathways, migration services, and competitive positioning.
- Deliver pre-sales support including solution discovery, design guidance, demos, and customer presentations.
Technical Leadership
- Earn and maintain VMware certifications appropriate to the role (e.g., VCTA, VCP-DCV, VCP-Cloud, VCAP).
- Maintain expertise in VMware’s portfolio including VCF architecture, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and Aria.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure solutions meet customer requirements for scalability, resilience, and modernization.
Collaboration
- Serve as the primary liaison between Broadcom/VMware Field Sellers and Softchoice teams.
- Lead joint account planning, pipeline development, and customer engagement strategies.
- Represent Softchoice in VMware/Broadcom partner programs, training sessions, and strategic initiatives.
What you’ll bring to the table
- 2+ years of experience in virtualization, cloud infrastructure, or VMware-aligned architecture roles.
- 5+ years of account management experience/field sales experience.
- Strong understanding of VMware technologies including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria, and VCF.
- VMware certifications such as VTSP, VCP-DCV, VCP-Cloud, or VCAP strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to influence sales outcomes and build trusted advisor relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaborative skills.
- Experience in a partner/reseller, distribution, or vendor ecosystem is an asset.
Compensation:
A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $73,360 to $110,040 annually.
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, education, and related certification. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
