The impact you will have:

 

It has never been more critical for our customers to see their VMware deployments critically and with this sales specialist role it is crucial in navigating the changes brought about by the Broadcom acquisition. Moreover, the sales specialist will play a key role in driving demand generation and pipeline forecast. 

 

In essence, the VMware sales specialist acts as a bridge between the technical aspects of VMware’s offerings and the customer’s business needs, ensuring that the customer can effectively leverage VMware’s solutions in their specific context. This role is crucial in helping customers navigate the changes brought about by the Broadcom acquisition and the shift toward cloud-based solutions. Although it’s one of the newest roles at Softchoice, it’s designed to follow through on our long-standing promise to do right by our customers.
  
 What you’ll do:

 

  • Identifying Opportunities: Recognize potential sales opportunities and evaluate their viability.
  • Collaborating with Presales Architect: Work closely with the presales architect to develop a tailored solution that meets the customer's specific requirements.
  • Articulating Business Value: Help articulate the business value of the proposed solution, addressing any technical concerns and demonstrating how the solution aligns with the customer's strategic objectives.
  • Own the Sales Cycle: Create new demand for VMWare services:
    • Utilize a “hunter” mentality, harnessing the power of existing customer and vendor leads.
    • Manage the sales cycle, prepare and deliver presentations, respond to RFPs, and negotiate contracts.
  • Forecasting Sales Pipelines: Own forecast for VMWare sales pipelines and meeting sales targets.
  • Guiding on VMware Cloud Solutions: Guide customers through the complexities of the transition to VMware Cloud solutions.
  • Lead the team: Be the point person for coordination of Sales, technical presales (i.e. Journey Architects and VMWare Solution Architects) and delivery teams.


What you’ll bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 7-10 yrs. of proven experience in advanced services sales.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware products and services or similar technology.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain strong relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.  
  • You are always curious about new technologies and how they impact our customers' business. 
  • Knowledge about Azure, AWS and GCP is an asset.
  • Travel up to 25%
