Softchoice is a leading technology solutions provider and a trusted Microsoft partner, helping organizations across industries achieve digital transformation.  As a Sr. Manager, Microsoft Solution Architect, you will lead a team of Microsoft Solution Architects who empower customers to achieve their digital transformation goals using Microsoft’s cloud and enterprise solutions. You will drive technical strategy, foster innovation, and ensure your team delivers exceptional customer outcomes across a diverse portfolio of industries and technologies. Your leadership will embody Softchoice’s values and leadership principles.

 

What you'll do:

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Drive year-over-year growth in your region, measured by revenue, customer adoption, and solution delivery success.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Solution Architects (typically 5–12 direct reports).
  • Oversee monthly forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Technical Excellence

  • Execute Softchoice’s Microsoft technical strategy by identifying and developing customer opportunities across Azure, Microsoft 365, Copilot, AI, and Security.
  • Ensure technical governance, compliance, and adherence to Microsoft’s best practices (e.g., Success by Design, Cloud Adoption Framework).
  • Oversee solution architectures, proposals, statements of work, and adoption roadmaps, ensuring technical and business alignment.

Customer Engagement

  • Foster a customer-obsessed culture, acting as trusted advisors and delivering exceptional experiences throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to design and deliver end-to-end solutions for complex business challenges.
  • Support business development and pre-sales activities, including opportunity management, technical reviews, and strategic customer engagements (e.g., RFPs, executive briefings).

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive innovation by encouraging continuous learning, sharing best practices, and developing intellectual property within your team.
  • Lead departmental transformation and growth through ongoing business improvement initiatives.

Culture & Employee Engagement

  • Champion Softchoice’s culture of inclusion, diversity, and growth mindset through mentoring, DEI initiatives, and employee development programs.
  • Maintain focus on employee engagement, integrating strategies to enhance experience as measured by periodic surveys.

Market Representation

  • Collaborate with Business Development leadership and vendor partners to represent Softchoice Services within supported market segments.

Travel

  • Ability to travel (10–30%), primarily domestic, for customer site visits, team meetings, and industry events.

 

What you'll bring to the table:

  • 10+ years in industry experience and 5+ years of experience leading high performing teams of IT professionals
  • 5+ years of experience with sales/presales leadership or high performing individual contribution as an influential leader or sales contributor
  • Management experience in a Technical Sales, Professional Services, or Manager Service organization is plus
  • Excellent leadership qualities, leaving a lasting and positive employee experience
  • Demonstrated ability to accommodate a high level of change and adapt accordingly
  • Strong knowledge of market leading Microsoft technology trends and solutions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • In-depth knowledge of business strategy and operations
  • Collaborative conflict resolution experience
  • Highly self-directed with the ability to manage ambiguity
  • Ability to travel to and from key Sales and Customer locations (10-30% travel)
  • Post-Secondary Degree or equivalent experience
