The impact you will have: 

As the Sr. Leasing Specialist, your focus will be to identify and sell to business-to-business customers various finance options for hardware and software products into a North American wide market. You will work closely with Outside and Telesales representatives to grow the leasing business. The ideal candidate will have experience working with IT resellers, manufacturers or distributors, and will have strong knowledge of technology product sales and leasing. You will also have a successful record of building relationships, leveraging manufacturer contacts and developing strong relationships with sales professionals to create and close leasing transactions. 


What you’ll do:  


  • Engage and interact with sales reps and sales management to ensure they understand the various payment options available to their customers through the Softchoice Leasing program. Educate sales on best practices, benefits and answer questions.
  • Provide sales reps and their customers with expert advice, identify various benefits to leasing, create strategies to help close deals and overcome objections.
  • Create and present sales training and engagement activities to increase leasing program awareness and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal sales process.
  • Provide timely and efficient sales support to Softchoice Sales Reps and their customers, including preparing leasing quotes, processing applications, preparing lease documentation and auditing lease documents.
  • Develop and execute "Go To Market" strategies to drive leasing transactions for Softchoice sales teams in all segments with a focus on our Enterprise teams.
  • Review pipeline reports and registered deals lists from various manufacturers. Proactively work with BD and Sales to identify opportunities and create payment options.
  • Create strategies to grow deal size and GP (Upsell 3 year Keystone, MPSA and other Multi-year agreements, 0%, Deferrals).
  • Increase leasing fee and rebate income by managing volumes with our various lenders and meeting various milestones to maximize our fees.
  • Participate in customer-facing calls and meetings to provide solutions to help close deals.
  • Review market trends and our competitor’s offers to ensure we are adding value and have competitive offerings for our customers.
  • Identify customers who are using third-party lenders and work on transitioning them to SC programs.
  • Work closely with our lenders to identify leases coming to term and work on renewals.
  • Train sales teams on the stickiness of leasing and how it helps create more selling opportunities and increase retention.
  • Schedule regular calls and meetings to review pipeline, service levels, rates, fees with our various lending partners.
  • Discuss new offers, promotions and industry news.
  • Provide regular updates to sales teams on rate changes, special offers and renewal opportunities.
  • Work with lending partners to improve offers to distinguish ourselves from our competitors.
  • Meet regularly with AR Team and review At Risk Reports.
  • Identify any problem accounts and create action items to help resolve any payment issues.
  • Work with Billing Team, Tax Team and Purchasing Team to fix and invoicing issues to help expedite payments.


What you’ll bring to the table: 


  • Minimum 3 years of leasing experience.
  • In-depth/extensive knowledge of equipment leasing/financing.
  • Solid knowledge of all possible leasing structures.
  • Proficiency in time value of money calculations.
  • Strong relationship building skills/interpersonal skills.
  • Above average sense of both urgency and efficiency.
  • Proficiency with T-Value, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of various hardware and software products sold by Softchoice.
