The impact you will have:

As a Senior Data Scientist within the Data Intelligence – AI Solutions team you will be impactful in growing the business with meaningful and impactful solutions to both clients and Softchoice. You would be assisting in developing a repository of quality solutions, evangelize the ML/AI portfolio with internal and external stakeholders and deliver impactful projects to our clients. 

What you’ll do:  

• Work closely with clients to understand their business cases, gather requirements, and develop AI architectures to address their business cases.
• Implement ML/AI solutions on various platforms to meet client needs.
• Work on internal ML/AI projects as needed.
• Interact and co-ordinate with various internal stakeholders to help develop Go-To-Market solutions, build internal projects, conduct internal knowledge transfer sessions, and assist in various practice initiatives.
• Develop an internal Body Of Knowledge to assist fellow team members and other stakeholders in delivering quality ML/AI solutions.
• Assist clients in understanding the current AI landscape, regulatory frameworks that may impact their business case, and give forward guidance on what may be coming up within the ML/AI ecosystem.
• Stay up to date on ML/AI advancements in general and be able to communicate those changes via internal memos, blogs, training sessions, and architectural designs.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders on ML/AI solutions and initiatives.
• Assist the sales and pre-sales teams in defining work scope and project requirements.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• 6-10 years of ML/AI  experience. Experience in developing high level AI architectural designs and/or AI solutions. 
• Experience with developing Machine Learning and AI models, pipelines, algorithms, and security protocols to validate model output.
• Experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, R, SQL, pyspark.
• Experience with MLOps, DataOps advantageous.
• Experience of additional languages would be beneficial.
• Experience with at least one of the following Cloud providers: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn.
• Experience with the data engineering technology stack and tools such as BigQuery, Airflow (or cloud alternatives), Spark, Databricks, etc. 
• Experience with on-premises based solutions would be considered advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of data intelligence and analytics, data strategy, and data driven design.
• Demonstrated experience establishing and delivering complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills and is comfortable translating and communicating complex technical solutions into business appropriate presentations and discussions.
• Strong delivery experience within multiple domains and very comfortable dealing with the unknown in business discussions.
• Experience in translating business requirements into technical designs and then implementing the approved designs.
• Comfortable in presenting designs and solutions to executive stakeholders including CxO’s.
• Awareness and some knowledge of AI Ethics and AI regulatory compliance within a global perspective. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced delivery environment.
• Passion to use technology to tackle business problems.
• Strong conceptual thinking, creativity, and flexibility.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science would be ideal as a minimum but extensive work experience would also be considered.
