Position Overview

As a Licensing Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting a vast of analysis activities for the Microsoft Licensing and Operations department, including but not limited to producing and maintaining key documentation that supports the Microsoft Licensing Operations team, the Microsoft Sales Specialists, and management in quoting programs, improving processes, providing cost analyses, and tracking KPIs. You will assist in building and updating Excel workbooks to illustrate licensing and spend to date for Microsoft Licensing Programs and CSP.

The Impact you will have:

  • Support the Microsoft analyst team with fee booking and billing processes.
  • Assist the team with QA testing for process improvement projects
  • Build and update Excel workbooks for Microsoft Licensing Programs and CSP.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on volume licensing products, usage, and pricing.
  • Utilize Excel techniques to improve templates continuously.
  • Compile customer purchase histories and present data using Microsoft Systems.
  • Identify reporting issues or anomalies and collaborate with the MSS team to present information effectively.
  • Provide monthly KPI analysis and updates to all pricing tools.
  • Keep all template documents current.
  • Train MSS field team on workbook and cost analysis documents.

What you will bring:

  • Skilled in Excel, with knowledge of formulas such as SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, and various lookup functions.
  • Experience with Macros is required to support Excel activities.
  • Experience in VBA, Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, or similar automation tools is a bonus
  • Comfortable with providing detailed accurate information to support clarity and compliance.
  • Able to problem-solve and take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution.
  • Ability to prioritize by handling a queue of requests and work well under pressure.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a constantly evolving environment.
  • High level of commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Resourceful and able to recognize when to escalate issues or solve them with help from peers and colleagues.
  • Previous work experience within the Microsoft ecosystem is preferred.
