The impact you will have:

As a Leasing Specialist, your primary focus is identifying and selling finance options for hardware and software products in the North American market. You’ll collaborate closely with sales teams to close opportunities and drive leasing business growth. The ideal candidate has experience with IT resellers, manufacturers, or distributors and possesses strong knowledge of technology product sales and leasing.  

Your daily efforts contribute to Softchoice’s success and customer satisfaction.  

 

This role is hybrid with the expectation of working in your local office (Vancouver or Toronto) 1-2 times per month.

 

What you’ll do:

  • As a Leasing Specialist, your role is multifaceted and impactful: 
  • Sales Excellence: 
    • You’ll strive to achieve and exceed personal sales targets and quotas. 
    • Developing and executing effective “Go To Market” strategies for leasing transactions will be a key focus. 
  • Expertise and Customer Support: 
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Leasing/Financial transactions, programs, and policies. 
    • Collaborate closely with Sales and Operations teams to support order processing and record keeping for leasing transactions. 
  • Objection Handling and Internal Resource: 
    • As the point person for Sales Reps, you’ll address objections that could hinder sales closures. 
    • Serve as an internal resource across departments, facilitating the sales process for Leasing/Financial services. 
  • Sales Tools and Efficiency: 
    • Disseminate sales tools (such as cheat sheets and add-ons) to enhance internal sales efficiency. 
    • Your contributions play a vital role in improving the effectiveness of the sales process. 
    • Maintain and continue ownership / support (to include all administration/correspondence) of the deal until the funding is received in full.  
    • Provide month end tracking, result/report.   
  • Accurate Reporting and Value Creation: 
    • Provide accurate reporting and process support for leasing transactions. 
    • Timely and efficient sales support to Softchoice Sales Reps ensures smooth operations and customer satisfaction. 
    • By maintaining pipeline reporting and analyzing sales data, you’ll identify revenue opportunities and deliver additional value to customers. 

 

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 1+ years of leasing/financing work experience. 
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) background is a plus. 
  • Intermediate Excel experience. 
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts, specifically in the areas of accounts receivable, billing, collection, and cash application. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Has the ability to prioritize and work under pressure. 
  • Very strong organization and process skills including ability to organize hard and soft copy information and develop and document processes and procedures. 
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, skills. 
  • Fundamental understanding of commercial credit reporting and commercial credit reporting agencies and the bankruptcy act. 
  • Proven capability for multitasking and handling high demand/volume requests. 
  • Demonstrated initiative skills. 
  • High standard of ethics and professionalism.  
  • Proficiency in SAP and Salesforce is a nice to have.
  • Ability to support the business coverage requirements (later shifts/rotating coverage on month ends & statutory holiday coverage). 
  • Minimum Education – High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Accounting designation, post graduate degree in business is an asset. 

 

Compensation:

The typical pay range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 CAD. 

 

Note: the pay range represents the full pay range for this position. Each individual offer will take into consideration a range of factors, including prior experience and geographic location.   
 
In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible for additional elements of compensation including an annual bonus as well as a comprehensive benefits plan.
