Softchoice is a large technology services and products supplier to business across North America.  Join on the ground floor of a large Salesforce implementation supporting the organization of 1500+ employees. Join a team of talented individuals which are part of the latest IT trends and ongoing companywide growth initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Salesforce Platform, the Salesforce Developer is a critical resource within a team of BAs/Administrators, Devlopers, and CPQ Specialists.


What you’ll do:  



  • Integrate Salesforce with other business systems, using various integration platforms and tools. Analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration.
  • Guide colleagues and leaders in deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value; provide mentoring to functional teams on how to best leverage value from the Salesforce platform.
  • Manage continuous optimization of existing custom code.
  • Maintain best practices and code coverage with regards to building custom code.
  • Create and manage complex workflow rules, tasks, data validation, controllers, API’s, and triggers/classes.
  • Troubleshoot implementation issues and demonstrate the ability to drive to successful resolution.
  • Translate business requirements into logical technical designs; define technical solutions in Salesforce.com to support business work processes, and bring the design to life through declarative or programmatic solutions.
  • Provide guidance on functional solution architecture & design, application and integration development best practices, enterprise architecture standards, environment management and testing.
  • Troubleshoot big/fix issues as they arise.
  • Assist with QA Testing and regression testing (changes, projects, and Salesforce releases).
  • Deploying solutions through internal Sandbox strategy and Production.
  • Manage DevOps Process, Source Control (including resolving merge conflicts), and Pipeline Deployments.


What you’ll bring to the table: 



  • 3+ Years progressive experience in Salesforce Development and Administration with Salesforce implementations in a complex B2B environment.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Administrator and Developer (Platform I).
  • Preferred Salesforce Certifications:  Advanced Administrator,  Developer (Platform II), App Builder.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related experience.
  • Solid exposure or experience with Apex triggers/classes, Controllers, API, writing test code coverage, debugging and optimization, Visualforce, Visual Workflow, and/or Lightning components to create unique customer-based solutions; development experience with JSP/ ASP, Java, HTML (CPQ and Lightning experience an asset).
  • Experience in working within Salesforce Governor Limits.
  • Experience with DevOps Tools and CI/CD Deployment Process.
  • Team-oriented but able to work autonomously with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client Service Driven - strong sense of internal customer focus and the importance of the voice of the customer.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with ability to work with key stakeholders across the organization; manage laterally and upward.
  • Desire to continually study new technologies and functionality, as well as be involved in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies.
  • Able to communicate effectively with diverse people and individuals at various levels within the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
  • Solid mix of business and technical capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex technical issues and ideas to stakeholders within the context of their business.
  • Experience with Agile methodology is preferred.
  • Technically versed in both Sales and Service Cloud.
