The impact you will have:


The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be the responsible for driving new IBM business at Softchoice, helping Softchoice continue to be North America’s leading technology solutions and services providers. 


This position lays the foundation for a successful high-tech sales career. There is a path for career growth within Softchoice for the right candidate that is willing to learn and work toward that goal.


As the Sales Development Representative for IBM, you will speak with IT leaders daily and strategically prospect for new IBM customers.  You will identify and qualify leads for world class Softchoice Account Executives, helping you and your Sales colleagues reach collective goals.


What you'll do: 


  • Identify and qualify leads for world class Softchoice Account Executives.
  • Create relationships with IBM and Softchoice IBM Business Development team to help drive leads to Softchoice.
  • See failure as a learning experience, taking on full responsibility for any missed targets, and building a plan to hit your next monthly/quarterly targets.
  • Become an IBM datacenter Solutions expert and a go-to resource for Softchoice Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Build relationships with Softchoice Account Executives, helping you understand what it takes to becomes a world class Salesperson.
  • Be surrounded by incredibly smart and driven people that will push you to be the best version of yourself.


What you'll bring to the table: 


  • 1 - 2 years proven work experience as a Business or Sales Development Representative, Sales Representative, Account Manager, or similar role.
  • Experience with cold calls, email, inbound lead qualification, social media reach, direct mail, and other activities, resulting in prospect engagements and meetings.
  • Passionate about sales and technology that solves business problems.
  • Consultative approach and exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience working with Salesforce (CRM).
  • Experience working with Sales Automation tools like SalesLoft, Xant, Outreach an asset.
  • Extra points for experience within B2B technology company.
  • An understanding of IBM datacenter solutions an asset.
