As a Product Owner focused on Cloud Native Applications and Cloud Transformation for our clients, you will be developing a Product-based approach in consulting projects and collaborate with engineering in bringing vision to life. These projects will include advanced cloud application development and deployment scenarios involving DevOps methodologies and tooling, delivered in an Agile first approach.
Your leadership will be crucial for the success of an Azure-centric development team where the client expectations are aligned with the achieved outcome.
This role reports to the Senior Manager of Application Development.
What you’ll do:
- As a consultancy company, our user and business stakeholders are our clients. You will work collaboratively with prospective clients, and current clients, to understand their business needs, frame those needs into a vision, and develop a feasible roadmap by working alongside our designers and engineers.
- The Product Owner will be working closely with clients to really understand and help define the strategy that supports the Product that will be developed.
- Identifies and helps the client understand the business model and value proposition.
- Work closely with clients to understand business needs, requirements, and priorities.
- Collaborating with our designers and engineers, you will utilize Agile product management methodologies to deliver outstanding products for our clients.
- Routinely negotiate changing expectations and requirements with the client.
- Represent your team in front of stakeholders, clients, and users.
- Own product and customer success for your team.
- Champion the understanding of Agile Product Management and Delivery practices within your team and projects.
- The Product Owner will be a critical and central player to help clients with their Product and Software Development needs.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 5 – 10 years practicing Agile Product Management.
- Deep knowledge of user story creation, user story management, SCRUM, and Kanban.
- Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, GitHub Issues, Confluence, etc.
- Expertise in negotiating changing expectations and requirements with business and client stakeholders.
- Expertise in product management methodologies and principles.
- Having worked in Agile Delivery Teams you will have a familiarity and appreciation for engineering and UX best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to masterfully work with, and co-ordinate, your team members that form a diverse background of skills and expertise.
- Strongly skilled at MVP ideation and delivery.
- Experience in consulting and external stakeholders is a bonus.
- Experience in pitching and securing buy-in for new products from business stakeholders is a bonus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to include direct client interaction.
