The impact you will have: 
Clients need our help.  Their IT infrastructures are struggling to adapt to the new challenges they’re facing.  You can solve these issues for our clients.  As a Presales Technical Specialist, you’ll work directly with customers to configure and price datacenter solutions for customers, leading with HPE products.  You’ll coordinate with our Business Development team on activities to retain current Softchoice customers and find new ones, to keep our HPE Canada business growing.

What you’ll do:  

  • Use configuration tools and partner programs to create technically accurate bills-of-material for HPE products at the best price.
  • Engage with our sellers and solution architects on projects, and work directly with customers to design solutions with HPE technology to meet customer needs.
  • Educate sellers on HPE products and programs so they can effectively position HPE solutions to their customers.
  • Support customer acquisition campaigns created by our Business Development and marketing teams to achieve our revenue and profit targets.
  • Manage your opportunity pipeline and forecast your business to vendor and Softchoice stakeholders.

  • Be able to build strong, trusting relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience in customer-facing and/or channels reseller roles.
  • University degree or college diploma.
  • Working knowledge of datacenter technology is preferred.
  • Technical or sales certifications for HPE Server and/or Storage products is a plus.  Please include a list of current and previously held HPE certifications with your application.
