The impact you’ll have:
The Manager, Pricing Operations, leads a team of 3 and is responsible for overseeing the execution and governance of pricing processes across the organization so that they are accurate and efficient. The manager will collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, Go-To-Market, IT, Bid Desk and Finance to support strategic deals, contracts and RFP’s to ensure Softchoice grows sales revenue profitably. The Manager will also investigate margin results through analytics and by partnering with business leaders to develop action plans to tackle opportunities or address problem areas.
What you will do:
- Pricing Governance & Compliance
- Use Business knowledge and analytics to manage the internal cost review policy and make decisions quickly for Sales on deals in progress such that profitability is maintained while ensuring Softchoice is positioned to win strategic deals.
- Use data, reporting and feedback collected from the field to validate and enhance pricing policies, rules, and approval workflows (e.g., floors/ceilings, discount guardrails).
- Ensure adherence to contractual pricing and regulatory requirements.
- Operational Management
- Full people leader responsibilities for a team of 3 pricing program specialists, including performance management, goal setting and the achievement of operational goals and SLA’s.
- Oversee day-to-day pricing operations, including bids, freight and cost rules, partner payouts, and rebate programs. Manage the financial implications, breadth and variations in these programs and provide visibility to leadership.
- Manage Freight policies, processes, costs, sales support and profitability.
- Maintain and optimize pricing systems (Salesforce, pricing engine) for accuracy and efficiency, and identify and implement enhancements to pricing workflows and tools in collaboration with IT.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Drive pricing accountability and focus with Sales RVP and GTM Leadership through reporting, analytics and purpose-built pricing reviews. Dissect margin results and develop actions to leverage opportunities or address non-performing areas.
- Support the RFP team on complex pricing requests, building out financial models to support winning bids for large opportunities. Periodically assist with the written responses specifically related to pricing.
- Act as a systems lead for the Pricing team in cross-functional meetings, so that pricing requirements are always achieved while helping move enterprise projects to completion.
- Training & Enablement
- Develop and deliver training content in partnership with the Supervisor Pricing Enablement on pricing processes and tools.
- Support operational initiatives within the Deal Desk or Enablement teams with analysis and systems changes.
- Assist with the development and roll out to Sales of value based selling tools.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management or Sales enablement, and 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Track record of successful team leadership within a collaborative team environment or highly matrixed structure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in PowerBI, pricing tools and CRM systems.
- Demonstrated financial business acumen and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to effectively communicate conclusions and recommendations to leadership and customers.
- Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and manage cross-functional projects from conception to implementation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Pay Range:
The typical pay range for this role is $91,200 - $136,800.
Note: the pay range represents the full pay range for this position. Each individual offer will take into consideration a range of factors, including prior experience and geographic location.
In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible for additional elements of compensation including (cell allowances, annual bonus, or commissions etc.), as well as a comprehensive benefits plan.
