Reporting into the Director, Learning & Talent Development, the Learning Advisor contributes to executing on Softchoice’s L&D programs and processes, with a key focus on project management of LMS-based initiatives, vendor relationship management, and continually improving our learning processes and systems. 


What you'll do:


Learning Management System (LMS):  

  • Take the lead on LMS-based projects, including: 

  • Lead project intake calls to determine if a project is a good fit for the LMS  

  • Moving new content and programs into the LMS 

  • Building, owning, and driving project plans 

  • Make recommendations and offer guidance on best practices to enhance the user experience 

  • Act as a trusted guide to business partners looking to utilize the LMS for their learning programs  

  • Stay current on upcoming SAP LMS enhancements and changes  

  • Provide reporting and data analytics on LMS-based courses  

  • Ensure all content is available in French according to the standards of Quebec Legislation 

  • Build capacity by standardizing / operationalizing LMS processes, then supporting the transition of appropriate work to the L&TD coordinator 

  • Own project planning for corporate mandatory training initiatives, including driving enhancements YOY 


Partnership with P&C Tech Team: 

  • Work with P&C Tech Team to deliver enhancements to our system, procedures, and processes; act as a liaison between the two teams 

  • Act as the Functional expert for the SF Learning Module, including assessment of employee experience impact and the validation of changes to the system 

  • Deepen your knowledge of the LMS, Success Factors, and SAP in order to drive strong partnerships that allow both teams to deliver stronger learning and talent development offerings to Softchoice employees 

  • Partner with the P&C Tech Team in adoption of new and existing solutions that deliver improvement to user experience 

  • Partner on implementation of Talent Intelligence Hub 


Vender Relationship Management:  

  • Manage vendor relationship for learning vendors, in particular Kantola, staying up to date on current legislation around required training  

  • Track vendor program costs and ROI  

  • Make recommendations on vendor program selection  

  • Liaise with internal partners including IT to ensure best-use of platforms (eg. SSO set-up) and stay current on internal offerings (eg. Microsoft Viva Learning, Culture Amp development features, etc.)  


Other L&D Activities:  

  • Drive content management organization and best practices for the L&TD team  

  • Curate and recommend available learning content in support of corporate strategy and initiatives  

  • Drive usage of available learning platforms and offerings across the org  

  • Champion Learning & Development within the organization to help enable an irresistible employee experience with an agile learning environment that supports personal & professional growth to enhance business outcomes  


What you'll bring to the table:


  • 2-3 years of experience in an associate role, preferably within a Human Resources setting  

  • Familiarity and experience with SharePoint  

  • Experience with Success Factors Learning Management System and SCORM & AICC standards, with an eagerness to continue to develop new skills in the LMS  

  • Excellent organization, time management and project planning skills. Able to manage many moving parts and projects 

  • Experience building project plans  

  • Highly motivated, self-starter, and tech-savvy

  • Strong written, oral, presentation, and communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Able and willing to make recommendations to improve systems or processes, to create efficiency and effectiveness  

  • A powerful hunger for ongoing learning and a willingness to tackle new challenges

  • University degree/college diploma or equivalent experience
