The impact you will have: 


As our Director, HR Systems and Process (HRIS), you will help deliver an irresistible employee experience by providing effective systems and processes to help manage the life cycle of events an employees’ moves through, such as; recruitment, onoarding, LMS, performance and succession management, benefits management, payroll processing and overall employee data. Your team will implement all dashboards so we can measure out outcomes and contribute to Softchoice being a great place to work. Key stakeholders you’ll be supporting include SVP of Information Technology, SVP of Business Transformation, VP of Employee Experience & Candidate Experience, Senior Director of L&D, and our SuccessFactors Systems Administrator. Direct reports  include a team of HRIS Systems Analysts and HRIS Coordinators. 


What you’ll do:  


  • Execute P&G systems projects with the goal of on time and on budget delivery for all areas of HR systems.
  • Partner with HRBP team on system utilization, data management and processes within the HR system.
  • Develop and maintain the HR systems with support from the systems administrator for any and all new development for additional requirement.  
  • Actively solicit feedback from the HRBP community about the functionality of the system.
  • identify opportunities to make the systems better for the organization.
  • Develop the reporting required to manage the data and make better decisions.
  • Support the user security in the HRIS system and ensures the systems administrator follows through effectively on any changes.
  • Regularly perform audits on the systems to ensure proper usage and to detect opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and evolves workflows.
  • Provide support on system functionality issues for end users (employees and managers) in conjunction with the systems administrator.
  • Recommends and implements HRIS system functionality that is beneficial to employees, managers and HR staff.


What you’ll bring to the table:


  • 5 years of experience in HR, and 3 years of experience in HRIS maintenance and project management (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is required.
  • Preferred experience in Success Factors or alternative enterprise ERP such as Workday.
  • CHRL is preferred but not required.
  • Pragmatist that will ensure the operational capability of any implementation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow instructions and possess an attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Project Management practices and understanding.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and possess ability to navigate and use other web-based systems as necessary.
  • Possess a positive attitude and establish good working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders .
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all components required to manage a HRIS system. Knowledge to include security management, user support, system functionality, report writing, basic payroll requirements, benefit data management, and time keeping standards.
  • High sense of urgency in providing strong level of service and follow-through .
