The impact you will have:

We are seeking an experienced Certinia (FinancialForce) Developer to serve as the primary technical owner of our highly customized Certinia platform. Our Certinia environment supports Professional Services Automation (PSA), including Projects, Resource Management, Timecards, Billing, and related business processes, and is deeply integrated with multiple enterprise applications.

 

This role is responsible for maintaining and evolving our Certinia platform, designing scalable solutions, supporting enterprise integrations, and partnering with business and technical teams to deliver innovative capabilities. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for the Certinia platform, ensuring it remains reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the primary technical owner of the Certinia platform, providing leadership for ongoing enhancements, platform stability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and support custom solutions within the Certinia (FinancialForce) platform.
  • Support and enhance Certinia PSA modules, including Project Management, Resource Management, Timecards, Billing, and related business processes.
  • Own the Certinia side of enterprise integrations with SAP, SAP Concur, and other enterprise applications, ensuring accurate data exchange and business process continuity.
  • Partner with the MuleSoft Integration team to design, troubleshoot, test, and implement integration enhancements between Certinia and enterprise systems.
  • Analyze existing customizations and recommend improvements for scalability, performance, maintainability, and user experience.
  • Own technical solution design for new enhancements, ensuring solutions align with Salesforce, Certinia, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Develop Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Visualforce pages, integrations, and custom Salesforce components.
  • Monitor platform health, troubleshoot production issues, coordinate deployments, and support release activities.
  • Collaborate with Professional Services, Finance, Accounts Payable, SAP, and Integration teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Participate in solution design, technical documentation, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Ensure all solutions follow Salesforce, Certinia, security, and development best practices.
  • Champion AI-assisted software development by responsibly leveraging AI tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, automate testing and documentation, assist with troubleshooting, reduce technical debt, and identify opportunities to optimize business processes. AI-generated solutions are expected to be validated, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to simplify business processes, automate manual tasks, and improve operational efficiency using Salesforce, Certinia, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Stay current with emerging Salesforce, Certinia, integration, and AI technologies, proactively recommending improvements that increase efficiency and business value.

 

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Certinia (FinancialForce) development and administration experience.
  • Strong understanding of Certinia Professional Services Automation (PSA).
  • Experience developing with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce APIs, Flows, and Custom Objects.
  • Experience working with highly customized Salesforce/Certinia implementations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience working with SAP and SAP Concur integrations.
  • Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud, including developing and configuring customer/partner-facing portals and communities.
  • Strong understanding of Experience Cloud security, user access, Salesforce data integration, and customization.
  • Experience collaborating with middleware or integration teams (such as MuleSoft) in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD deployment practices.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Salesforce Agentforce, or similar technologies) to improve productivity, solution quality, documentation, testing, and software delivery.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I or II Certification.
  • Certinia (FinancialForce) certifications.
  • Experience with SAP ERP and Finance processes.
  • Experience designing enterprise integration solutions.
  • Experience in Professional Services or ERP environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience implementing AI, automation, or intelligent workflow solutions within enterprise applications.

Compensation:

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position in Toronto is $76,500 to $102,000, annually + 10% as target incentives. 

   

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, education, and related certification. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
