The impact you’ll have

 

The Business Engagement Associate (BEA) supports the Business Engagement team in driving operational efficiency, process improvement, and cross functional alignment across Softchoice business units. This role contributes to structured problem solving, process analysis, and stakeholder engagement activities, working alongside the Business Engagement Manager role.

 

This role is hybrid with the expectation of working in your local office two times per month. 

 

What you’ll do

 

You will support organizational efficiency and transformation by:

  • Establishing trusted and influential relationships with leaders by leading strategic planning meetings, feedback sessions and workshops that will identify complex business challenges
  • Developing a working knowledge of Softchoice systems, workflows, customer/employee experience drivers, and operating structures.
  • For functional improvement opportunities:
    • Leading functional teams in structured problem-solving and decision-making for functional improvement opportunities
    • Advising leaders on framing and clarifying complex problems
    • Diagnosing systemic root causes across people, process and technology
    • Driving current-state assessments and future-state design to enable sustainable, functional change
    • Designing and re-engineering business processes aligned to strategic outcomes, scalability, and long-term operational resilience
  • For large cross-functional Enterprise improvement priorities, supporting Business Engagement Managers with:
    • Preparing workshop materials, agendas, and documentation; capturing insights, decisions, and action items.
    • Structured problem-solving and decision-making to deliver practical, scalable improvements
    • Framing and clarifying complex problems
    • Conducting data gathering and synthesizing insights to support decision-making.
    • Current-state assessments and future-state design to enable sustainable, enterprise-wide change
    • Designing and re-engineering business processes aligned to strategic outcomes, scalability, and long-term operational resilience

 

What you’ll bring to the table

 

  • 5–8 years of experience in business strategy, operations, process improvement, business analysis, or similar roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline required. Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred
  • Six sigma green belt, or equivalent experience required
  • Strong understanding of how businesses operate, including cross functional workflows, operating rhythms, and key performance drivers.
  • Excellent communication skills with executive presence and the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience supporting structured problem solving, root cause analysis, and process mapping.
  • Ability to simplify complex information into clear summaries and visuals.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and readiness to grow into a strategic advisory role.
  • Exposure to Design Thinking and Change Management is an asset
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation or continuous improvement initiatives is an asset.

  

Compensation

 

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $76,000 to $110,000 annually.

 

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, education, and related certification. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
