The impact you'll have:

As a Solution Architect specializing in AI & Automation, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced AI-powered and automated solutions that accelerate Softchoice’s internal transformation. Your work will directly support our strategic goal to ‘Lead in AI and Automation,’ improving operational efficiency, personalization, and customer responsiveness through the deployment of AI agents and streamlined workflows.

 

What you'll do:

  • Architect future-state workflows and technical architectures for AI and automation solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance across all deployments.
  • Select platforms, integration patterns, and data architectures that align with enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Design solutions leveraging Microsoft’s agentic stack, including Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, and Power Platform, to enable seamless integration with existing business systems and processes.
  • Lead technical feasibility assessments and ensure solution alignment with Softchoice’s technology stack and strategic priorities.
  • Implement robust exception handling, performance monitoring, and QA/UAT processes, collaborating with SMEs and refining solutions based on feedback.
  • Drive adoption of AI agents and automation by partnering with business stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and supporting change management initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions are designed for extensibility, maintainability, and enterprise-wide impact, supporting both greenfield and transformation projects.
  • Champion architecture governance, leading architecture review boards and ensuring solutions align with enterprise roadmaps, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Process Engineers, AI Engineers, Embedded AI Specialists) to co-design and build agentic workflows tailored to prioritized business use cases.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting feedback loops, performance tracking, and lessons learned documentation.

 

What You’ll Bring to the table:

  • 7+ years experience in solution architecture for AI, automation, or enterprise systems, with a strong focus on designing scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
  • Deep expertise in the Microsoft tech stack, including Azure AI Services (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Document Intelligence, Azure Cognitive Search, Azure AI Foundry).
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot (Copilot for M365, Copilot Studio for custom agent development, integration with Power Platform).
  • Proficiency with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with agentic architectures, large language models (LLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows.
  • Experience with cloud-native development, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and deploying AI solutions in Azure and hybrid environments.
  • Strong coding skills (Python, Java, or equivalent) and proficiency with AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, FastAPI).
  • Knowledge of architecture governance, best practices, and capability frameworks (TOGAF certification is an asset).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work across multiple domains and drive enterprise-wide transformation.

 

Pay Range:

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position in Ontario is $99,750 to $133,000 annually.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, education, and related certification. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
