The impact you will have:

This position will oversee warehouse operations for Canada and US employees, including hardware for new hires and existing employees. This role requires a combination of warehouse management expertise, technical skills, and strong organizational abilities to ensure efficient operations and seamless onboarding experiences, asset management, and refurbishing hardware. 

 

This role is hybrid with the expectation of working in the Oakville office 4 days per week. 

 

What you will do:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving. 
  • Implement and maintain warehouse management systems to optimize efficiency. 
  • Set up and prepare laptops and accessories ready to ship to new as well as existing employees.   
  • Coordinating equipment acquisition process including Purchase requisitions and or Purchase orders 
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to manage inventory levels and deliveries. 
  • Conduct regular audits and inventory checks to maintain accuracy. 
  • Refurbish hardware. 
  • Document and track support requests using a ticketing system. 
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including setting up accounts and providing necessary training. 
  • Collaborate with HR and IT departments to ensure smooth onboarding experience. 
  • Provide technology for Softchoice employees as part of our onboarding, refresh, and repair and refurbishment programs.    
  • Track and manage hardware inventory, ensuring timely delivery and return of equipment. 

 

What you bring to the table: 

  • 2+ years of experience warehouse management and inventory control. 
  • Previous experience in a service desk/help desk role is a plus 
  • Proven experience managing shipping to meet tight timelines 
  • Strong time management and task management skills as demonstrated in previous experience 
  • Ability to influence others (in other warehouses) to meet employee onboarding demands. 
  • Sufficient technical skills, including knowledge of hardware and the ability to follow documented instructions to install and configure software. 
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and service desk ticketing systems 
  • Creating Purchase Requisition  
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Additional Requirements 
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required. 
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and work environments. 
  • Experience with enterprise-level cloud distribution systems for hardware allocation (i.e. Amazon for Business) 
  • Proficient in using Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and more. 
  • Experience with asset management and hardware refurbishing is a plus. 
  • Experience working with SAP system is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Service Now ticketing system is a plus.
  • Experience working with Active Directory, Azure, and User Management is a plus.
