Professional Services Architect

This role is vital to the successful implementation and management of our cloud initiatives in support of development and testing engineering functions across diverse product platforms. You will leverage your systems implementation and administration experience to envision, enable, accelerate, automate, and measure various on-prem and cloud deployments. You will play a key role in creating dynamic, secure, high performance, and highly available cloud environments that will provide scale and flexibility to various engineering organizations. Your enterprise management expertise, attention to detail, ability to solve problems, excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment are core traits for success in follow products and platforms: Linux, Windows Servers and End-point devices, Azure O365 Apps, Exchange Online, Cisco Unified Communication Manager, Collaborative Tools such as Cisco WebEx, Cisco Jabber, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Yammer, Sonexis conference manager.

 

Job Duties:

  • Perform installation and configuration of Linux, Windows, Oracle, MySQL and ClearCase
  • Perform High-Level of Windows Administration and UNIX/Linux User ID Administration with Azure/Google Cloud Platform
  • Administer & build Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, Microsoft Windows Servers (Active Directory), Microsoft Exchange 2016, Microsoft SCCM/Manage End-User Patch Mgmt., OS Task Sequence, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft O365 Administration, Windows and Apple Mac Workstations, and network security devices
  • Manage Cloud and on-premises storage and VDIs
  • Install/manage Hybrid O365 Exchange 2010/2013/2016, Sonexis conference manager, WebEx/WebEx Control Hub, Cisco Telepresence devices, Cisco Call Manager and MDM tools like Airwatch and Microsoft Intune
  • Perform security implementation using ACL's and special file permissions
  • Administer IBM Rational ClearCase Deployment, installation, creation of Multisite VOBs.
  • Create file system and configure to available networks through NFS
  • Monitor system logs and root email for important messages such as errors and warnings or hardware fail errors
  • Manage Disk File Systems, Server Performance, Users Creation and granting of file access permissions
  • Troubleshoot CISCO VPN Client Related issues & Pulse Secure
  • Setup site-to-site VPN's and Zone based Firewalls
  • Configure and administer Cisco/Watchguard firewall, routers and switches. Implement of Network Address Translation using Static NAT, and Dynamic NAT. Knowledge and Support on Canadian OMS gateway products
  • Perform VMware vSphere 5.1 - 7.0 administration
  • Administration of telecommunications circuits including T1, PRI, BGP, VPN, IPSec and point-to-point connectivity
  • Performance regular audits with compliance regulatory team
  • Assist in delivery for more complex engagements that may span multiple disciplines
  • Oversight and QA role on SOWs and client facing documentation
  • Will work in concert with program/project manager(s) attached to the client to inform scope and estimates
  • Will work in conjunction with System Engineers and Project Managers to plan and lead technical deployments
  • Assess skillsets and identify knowledge gaps for Systems Engineers on your immediate team
  • Identify training or learning opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to increase delivery quality
  • Lead initiatives to continually increase overall team performance
  • QA role/Peer review may extend into all Statements of Work of a certain dollar value and/or with strategic clients
  • Will work in conjunction with partners and client to ensure that technical solution architecture reflects business goals and can address business challenges
  • Align Professional Services delivery methodology
  • Actively contribute to Practices through work on special projects to develop new solutions, cross-practice offerings and delivery standards
  • Travel up to 30% to multiple offices
  • Potential after-hours work


Education & Experience Requirements:

  • 7 years’ experience in a professional services capacity including the following:
    • 4-5 years of experience in Installation, set up, high-level administration on Windows & Linux servers administration. Resolve issues with server performance and provide Role base access to users/Application across the board. Access, Patching Management using SCCM and Cloud Mgmt. Gateway, creating system backup and images for laptops, maintain high-level of system security using/creating TrendMicro and CrowdStrike policies.
    • 2-3 years: Hands-on experience on following security tools: Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender ATP, DLP application Digital Guardian, ObserverIT. Configure policy to prevent security threats, create policies security tools and network technologies along with keen ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
    • 2-4 year’s experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory. Demonstrated experience with app migrations to Azure leveraging services and tools like Azure Migrate, creating, deploying, configuring and scaling applications in Azure Expert knowledge of designing high availability systems in Azure (fault domains, availability zones, regions,). Ability to incorporate security in the design and implementation of solution architectures, and to control access to resources using Azure IAM, and deployment best practices.     • 1-3 years experience in Azure/Office365 Apps, Exchange Online, Intune/Airwatch End-point Mgmt. administration. In depth understanding and working of Exchange mailboxes, distribution lists and contacts. Design and implement migration of on premises exchange mailboxes to Exchange online. Core design, implement and build policy on O365 Teams, Yammer, Intune, Airwatch to keep organization.
    • 2-3 years experience in VMware vSphere 5.1 - 7.0 administration. Administration of telecommunications circuits including T1, PRI, BGP, VPN, IPSec and point-to-point connectivity. Performance regular audits with compliance regulatory team.
  • Must be able to develop new service offerings and provide solutions to technical/business problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)


Skills Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise installing and administering including Windows Servers and End-Point Devices(Automated), Macintosh, Linux, CentOS, VMware Virtualization (vSphere & ESXi),  Dell hardware, SATA/IDE hard drives, SCSI devices and Direct Attached Storage;
  • Demonstrated expertise performing network administration including hardware configuration and operating systems, and server installation in DHCP, using TCP, DNS, LAN and WAN;
  • Demonstrated expertise configuring Cisco TP’s, Call Manger, VoIP, PRI, T1/E1 and NBX Phone Systems using Sonexis Conferencing Systems and Adtran NetVanta;
  • Demonstrated expertise performing software installation and maintenance using Windows, Linux, iOS, Cisco, IBM ClearCase, and AIX;
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft O365 Hybrid design, planning and configuration.
  • Demonstrated expertise performing maintenance and troubleshooting of Cisco Firewalls and VPN systems;
  • Demonstrated expertise interfacing with internal and external IT teams and vendors to coordinate systems and network administration activities; and purchase.
  • Demonstrated expertise installing, supporting and configuring gateway products for OMS CLEC customers in Canada.
  • Demonstrated expertise in system/tools consolidation during mergers and acquisitions.

 

Terms of Employment: Permanent full-time

Language of work: English

Wage: $150,000 - $165,000. Paid on semi-monthly basis. The gross salary paid has been subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions. Employee may be eligible for a corporate short-term incentive bonus.
