Customer Solutions Lead – Public Sector

The Impact You Will Have

Empowering public sector organizations to achieve their mission through innovative IT solutions and services.

As a Customer Solutions Lead focused on the public sector, you will help government agencies and institutions optimize IT operations and drive digital transformation through our Professional, Managed, and Agility services. Your work will directly support public service delivery, citizen engagement, and operational excellence across:

  • Business Consulting
  • Applications and Data
  • Collaboration and Productivity
  • Modern Infrastructure

What You’ll Do

Consultative Selling

Engage with senior government stakeholders (Directors, CIOs, Deputy Ministers) to understand complex organizational challenges.

Lead discovery and qualification across departments and agencies, aligning solutions with public mandates and compliance requirements.

Drive multi-threaded sales involving AI, Cloud, Advanced Workplace, and Managed Services tailored to public sector needs.

Develop strategic roadmaps that align our services with public outcomes, including digital equity, service modernization, and cybersecurity.

Guide agencies through solution adoption, ensuring stakeholder buy-in, training, and long-term utilization.

Account Management

Manage a portfolio of public sector accounts, driving growth through pipeline generation, forecasting, and quota achievement.

Build and execute account plans aligned with government fiscal cycles and procurement processes.

Collaborate with Account Executives and Sales Leaders to support regional public sector growth.

Conduct QBRs to ensure alignment with agency goals and progress on key initiatives.

Value Proposition

Articulate Softchoice’s value in enabling secure, scalable, and citizen-centric digital services.

Deliver tailored proposals that reflect public sector priorities such as transparency, accessibility, and cost-efficiency.

Demonstrate expertise in Cloud, AI, and Workplace solutions that support public sector modernization.

Champion the value of cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and collaboration tools in improving service delivery.

Managed Services

Lead Managed Services engagements that address public sector challenges like legacy system modernization, compliance, and workforce enablement.

Develop service roadmaps that align with agency mandates and long-term strategic plans.

Collaboration

Partner with district sales teams and internal stakeholders to deliver outcomes for public sector clients.

Build strong relationships with presales, delivery, and business development teams.

Share best practices across the public sector sales community.

Serve as a trusted advisor to government clients and partners.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

Experience solving public sector challenges through technical solutions.

Strong understanding of Cloud and Workplace platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft 365) in government environments.

Proven success in using solution based selling methodologies with public institutions. Demonstrable outcomes via case study or customer reference a strong asset

Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and drive consensus.

Strategic thinker with a public service mindset and strong decision-making skills.

5–10+ years of experience in technical sales or pre-sales, preferably in the public sector.

Willingness to travel within your assigned region.

Solutions Fundamentals

  • Knowledge of Softchoice’s Reduce and Optimize Services for Cloud and Workplace.
  • Understanding of Innovate and Advanced Professional Services tailored to public sector needs.
  • Proficiency in key vendor partner solutions like Public Cloud (AWS, Microsoft, GCP) and Infrastructure (Cisco, Pure Storage, Lenovo)
  • Ability to map services to specific agency goals and compliance frameworks.

Cloud and Workplace Proficiency

  • Familiarity with public sector cloud adoption strategies and security requirements.
  • Ability to articulate the value of cloud and workplace modernization for government.

Sales Strategy

  • Experience developing Market Attack Plans for public sector growth.
  • Ability to align services with government funding cycles and procurement protocols.
  • Relationship Management
  • Skilled in building trust with public sector leaders and navigating political environments.
  • Proven ability to mobilize stakeholders and drive outcomes across departments.

Strategic Thinking

  • Champion of ROI and public value, capable of presenting TCO and impact metrics.
