The impact you will have:


The Advisory Services Engineer, Google Workspace is a customer-facing role focused on helping customers leverage Advisory Services offered by Softchoice. The incumbent is expected to provide hands-off guidance for implementation and driving active user base for Google Workspace.

What you’ll do:


  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Google Workspace customers, to ensure that they are using the Google platform efficiently and effectively to meet their needs and to verify it is integrating well with their other tools and processes.
  • Providing subject matter expertise in Google Workspace solutions and leading all technical aspects of the deployment for transitioning from other/ legacy messaging and collaboration solutions to Google, with key focus on Meet, Chat and Editors.
  • Provide hands-off guidance for configuration in Google Workspace deployments including successfully migrating data to Google, integrating customer current environments with Google, Task Automation, and educating customer’s technical resources.
  • Interact with customer technical and project resources in face-to-face and remote interactions.
  • Provide guidance for Configuring and deploying G Workspace and other SaaS applications to the customers.


What you’ll bring to the table:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in customer support for Google Workspace.
  • Demonstrated experience of working in a fast-paced environment to drive Google Workspace deployments for both Productivity and Collaboration and, Security and Management portfolio.
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Workplace Security, Mail Management and overall administration.
  • Strong understanding of Email Servers, Active Directory and ADFS is a plus.
  • Experience deploying and administering Google Workspace in enterprise environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of networking concepts (e.g. IP, firewalls, NAT, proxy, VLANs, VPN).
  • Understanding of DNS (TXT, A, MX, CNAME, SRV)
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
  • Nice to have(s): Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) Certification (Deployment Service Specialist or Professional Collaboration Engineer).
