The impact you will have: 

The AWS Business Development Manager role is ultimately responsible for driving the growth and impact of partner influenced revenue on our AWS public cloud business. Through advocacy, influence and alignment activities, the BDM orchestrates our sell-through strategy within a given segment or territory. Their customer is the partner, inclusive of sellers, sales leadership and partner leadership.

 

There are 3 key measures within the BDM management process:

  1. [results] New AWS Product and Services Revenue (Total FM)
  2. [KPI] New partner-influenced New Cloud Logos
  3. [Supporting metrics] AWS Leads to Softchoice + partner-influenced pipeline

 

What you’ll do:

  • Accountable for establishing and nurturing key regional relationships with AWS CSC Account Managers and Sales Leadership
  • Responsible for promoting Softchoice as a go-to partner based upon our aligned services offerings and differentiated value and capabilities to influence the flow of pipeline to Softchoice AWS Scale team
  • Attend AWS Partner Events in Seattle, WA (HQ1), Arlington, VA (HQ2), and Austin, TX (HQ3)
  • Participate in and present in AWS Team Meetings and other offsite events
  • Assist in hosting and driving attendance for regional customer events

 

Other shared responsibilities include:

  • Support with Softchoice GTM Enablement within AWS CSC
  • Support in AWS Opportunity intake, resource alignment, and opportunity management
  • Pipeline tracking, management, and hygiene

 

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally from within the Channel Partner sector
  • Demonstrable experience in solution sales and/or business development roles with consistent year-over-year performance to plan
  • Experience fostering relationships with senior-level leadership
  • Strong problem solving & organizations skills for complex sales cycles
  • Strong executive presence, effective communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable understanding of Cloud computing technology
