This individual is responsible for creating, coordinating, and executing the Microsoft customer acquisition strategy for the Microsoft SMC (Small, Medium Commercial) Accounts. This includes growing the Microsoft Security platform through sales training and enablement, developing, and executing competitive sales tactics while staying current with market and product trends. Successful execution will also require strong management of the local Microsoft partnership.

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Tailor Security Strategies: Partner with internal and external resources to grow Microsoft Security in SMC, including customers and our sales teams. 
  • Drive Microsoft Workplace/Azure Security Revenue growth supporting new and existing customers.
  • Customer Calls: Provide pre-sales support to sales and customers on Microsoft Security solutions. Be the SME to address inquiries and demonstrate the value of Microsoft Security solutions.
  • Scale Customer Engagements: Engage with local Softchoice sales teams as their Security subject matter expert to sell jointly into customer accounts.
  • Facilitate customer events to deliver Softchoice content, including webinars.
    • Customer Immersion Experiences (CIEs): Deliver CIEs to showcase the practical applications and benefits of Microsoft security solutions.
    • Campaign Collaboration: Identify new market opportunities. Support the demand generation strategy and Security sales activations campaigns. 
  • Internal Training: Develop and deliver training for Softchoice sales teams on Microsoft Security solutions.
  • Promote Professional Services and Managed Services to drive Security growth.
  • Stay Informed: Ongoing personal development through certificates, training, and general curiosity to stay ahead of the curve. Active contribution to Security insights, best practices, and success stories. 


What you'll bring to the table:

 

  • A deep understanding of Microsoft 365 and Azure with strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Priva, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • 5-7+ years of technology-related sales or product consulting role (Microsoft products preferred).
  • Microsoft Certifications in the following (Minimum of 3): MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, SC-900: Security, Compliance & Identity Fundaments, SC-400: Administering Information Protection and Compliance in Microsoft 365, AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals, MS 500: Microsoft 365 Security Administration, AZ-900: Azure Fundamental.
  • Consultative Selling Skills: Proven ability to engage in consultative selling, understanding customer pain points, and positioning Microsoft Security products as solutions to those challenges.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to changes in technology, industry trends, and product updates, ensuring continued relevance and expertise in Microsoft Security solutions.
  • Presentation and communication skills: Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic thinking & execution: Ability to develop sales and business strategy options, while also being able to successfully execute plans and build strong relationships.
  • Bilingual English/French preferred.
